Hello, and welcome!
I’m Mira Yoncheva, an artist living and creating in the beautiful city of Maastricht, Netherlands. My work is an exploration of bold colors, intricate textures, and the essence of female grandeur—each painting a reflection of power, sensuality, and captivation.
Art has always been my way of seeing and feeling the world. My inspiration comes from everywhere—photography, street art, the energy of different cultures, and the beauty I encounter in my travels. But at the heart of it all is my deep connection to my roots. Growing up in the mountain valleys of Bulgaria, I was surrounded by nature’s raw beauty and the rich traditions of folklore. That foundation instilled in me a love for storytelling and a desire to push beyond the ordinary, creating worlds of emotion and imagination on canvas.
My artistic journey has taken many forms—from sketching and sculpture to fashion design and painting. It was in London, while studying fashion design at the University for the Creative Arts, that I refined my eye for composition, texture, and expression. The city’s vibrant energy shaped my creative voice, but it was in Maastricht, where I now live with my partner and daughter, that my passion for female portraiture truly flourished.
Each piece I create carries a story, an emotion, a moment of transformation. I invite you to step into my world, to experience the depth, movement, and intensity of my work. Thank you for being part of this journey.
With gratitude,
Mira
